HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR PARTNER?
We met at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow pub in Melbourne on New Years Eve dancing to some love music.
HOW DID THE PROPOSAL GO DOWN?
I always thought I would have an inkling when David would propose however it came as a total surprise!
I arrived home pregnant with my second daughter, Bonnie and David has Elton John playing, rose petals being dropped by my eldest daughter Grace along a path in the backyard to a banner that read marry me!!
Many tears, kisses and a lot of Yes yes yes!!
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING?
Riva was my first stop of 3, as soon as I tried my dress on there was no point trying on any others, nothing compared!!
I brought back my bridesmaids a month later and was ecstatic, some bubbles, no rush and discussions around tailoring made me feel a million bucks!
HOW DID YOU KNOW YOUR GOWN WAS THE ONE?
It felt beautiful, it hugged me in all the right places and I just felt so classy and stylish. The matierial was so gorgeous and it had a unique element which I loved, I didn’t want to be cookie cutter!
But really, it was just meant to me, I felt so special in it and could not get it off my mind!
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING STYLE AND INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?
Simple, quality and unique.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING?
Apart from our vows and the moment we said I do, it was hearing my husbands speech, I took a moment to look around at all the people we love and was so incredibly happy and proud I’ve found my person!
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING SOUNDTRACK?
Think Beatles, van morrison, the dreggs, bob marley and a little 90s classic for fun all mixed in one!
WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS OF WISDOM FOR OTHER BRIDES?
Enjoy the process, don’t try and do it all yourself and don’t lose site of why you are planning all the things. In that moment at the alter nothing else will matter!
